10) What is the Mountain of Butterflies?
This story was from in the first few weeks of the year. The searches came from a Google Doodle commemorating the Mexican Butterfly Sanctuary. The sanctuary is the home of the migrating Monarch butterfly who travel every year for winter.
9) What is the minimum wage?
You can almost guarantee that this question is trending every year. Constantly changing, at the time of writing for the average UK adult the minimum wage is £7.20 an hour.

Sepsis is a life-threatening illness that can occur when the whole body reacts to an infection. It leads to a serious overdrive of the body’s immune system and leads to a series of reactions that can lead to widespread inflammation and blood clotting. There have been numerous campaigns this yes to raise awareness of the illness

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal healthy tissue. This results in symptoms such as inflammation, swelling, and damage to joints, skin, kidneys, blood, the heart, and lung.

This ranking is somewhat a surprising one. Bastille Day is the common name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on 14 July each year.

The Facebook-owned photo sharing application had a great 2016, and it appears more people want to get in on the trend. It passed 500 million monthly active users this year and the app looks set to grow even more as we head into 2017.

We’re pretty sure everybody has asked themselves this at some point in 2016, and nobody really knows the definitive answer. In short, it’s Britain’s vote to leave the European Union; it also ranked 6th in the top trending searches on Google across the whole of the UK.

Following on from Brexit, Article 50 also makes the list. Article 50 is the thing that has to be triggered for Britain to leave the European Union although this process takes two years.
